Louis
Tinnin, MD, attended the University of Chicago
for his undergraduate and medical school training. He was
trained in psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati and
received post-graduate training at the National Institute
of Mental Health. He is a Professor Emeritus in psychiatry
at West Virginia University and a member of the editorial
board of the American Journal of Art Therapy. He
founded the Trauma Recovery Institute in 1996 and his current
interest is in brief treatment procedures for the medical
and psychiatric consequences of trauma.
Linda
Gantt, Ph.D., ATR-BC, is the Executive Director
of the Trauma Recovery Institute. She has been a clinical
instructor in the West Virginia University Department of Behavioral
Medicine & Psychiatry for the past twelve years. She has
also taught art therapy courses at Vermont College of Norwich
University, The George Washington University, and Salem College.
She is a past president and honorary life member of the American
Art Therapy Association and a past chair of the National Coalition
of Arts Therapies Associations (NCATA). Dr. Gantt is a member
of the editorial board of the American Journal of Art
Therapy and was the Interim Editor of Art Therapy:
The Journal of the American Art Therapy Association in
1984. Her primary research interests are correlating formal
elements in patients’ art with psychiatric diagnosis
and the use of art to gauge therapeutic response.
Other
