Programs for Adults
Posttraumatic
Syndrome Due to Single Trauma
Participants in this treatment program suffer from symptoms
that relate to a single event such as an accident, assault,
rape, or disaster. The symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares,
phobic avoidance of reminders, nervousness, jumpiness, and/or
insomnia. Complications such as dissociation or victim mythology
are either mild or absent.
Procedures:
Psychiatric evaluation, hypnotic narrative processing, art
therapy, graphic narrative, and video dialogue
Posttraumatic
Syndrome Due to Several Traumas
This is for uncomplicated post-traumatic syndromes with a
history of two or three traumas. The person must be free of
hallucinations or self-mutilation
Procedures:
Psychiatric evaluation, hypnotic and/or cognitive narrative
processing, art therapy, graphic narrative, and video dialogue
for each trauma
Posttraumatic
Syndrome Due to Childhood Abuse
This is for post-traumatic syndromes due to childhood sexual
or physical abuse. The symptoms may include inner voices but
no dissociative regression or self-mutilation
Procedures:
Psychiatric evaluation, hypnotic narrative processing, art
therapy, graphic narrative, and video dialogue for each primary
trauma
Posttraumatic
Syndrome Due to Medical Conditions or Surgical Procedures
This is for symptoms related to medical conditions or surgical
procedures in childhood or adulthood. The surgical traumas
include childhood tonsillectomy, especially those surgeries
with ether anesthesia, cardiac surgery, or other major surgeries.
The medical conditions include catastrophic illnesses in childhood
(febrile convulsions, prolonged bed or home confinement, or
repeated procedures such as urethral probes or enemas). PTSD
symptoms may also follow heart attacks or heart catheterization
at any age

Posttraumatic
Syndrome Due to Dental Procedures
This is a program for dental phobia related to a previous
dental procedure

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Due to
Combat
This program treats combat veterans with chronic PTSD. It
relieves the triad of intrusive, avoidant, and arousal symptoms
along with the dissociative inner voices and attention deficit.
In most cases the patient will need further therapy to resolve
the victim mythology

Dissociative
Identity Disorder
This program is for people who suffer from identity alteration
and intend to achieve full personality integration and continuous
memory. It is appropriate for clients in treatment with therapists
elsewhere. It involves an initial two-week (10 day) treatment
module and one or more one-week (5 day) modules later

Psychiatric evaluation, video dialogue between patient and
alter personalities for informed consent, hypnotic and recursive
video processing, trauma response processing, art therapy
graphic narrative, and video dialogue between the person and
the alter personalities for negotiation and decisions
Note:
This program may not be suitable for clients treated with
deprogramming. Such cases require extensive consultation and
collaboration with the primary therapist
Dissociative
Disorder Without Identity Alteration
This program is primarily for people who experience inner
personalities or voices, but also for people experiencing
dissociative symptoms, such as competing streams of thought
that characterize what we call a "dissociative attention
deficit disorder "
Procedures:
Psychiatric evaluation, video dialogue between patient and
voices consent, hypnotic and recursive video processing, instinctual
trauma response processing, art therapy graphic narrative,
and video diminish dissociation
Posttraumatic
Auditory Hallucinations
Inner voices that talk to the person and about the person
are common after severe trauma. This program helps one reclaim
those dissociated parts of the self
Procedures:
Psychiatric evaluation, video dialogue between patient and
voices for informed consent, hypnotic and recursive video
processing, instinctual trauma response processing, art therapy
graphic narrative, and video dialogue to undo the differentiation
between the person and the voices
Depersonalization
Disorder
A traumatic cause for depersonalization is not always evident.
This program treats the presumptive traumatic etiology

This program reverses amnesia and treats the presumed causative
traumas

Fugue
This program is for individuals who have suffered a sudden
alteration of identity with the assumption of another identity
and a different life without memory of the original life

and video dialogue for each primary trauma plus a generic
pre-verbal trauma
Self-Mutilation
This program is for people who intentionally hurt themselves
by head-banging, swallowing objects, or self-imposed starvation.
The treatment deals directly with the symptoms and with the
traumatic etiology
Procedures:
Psychiatric evaluation, video dialogue as the primary direct
measure to control the self-harming behavior, hypnotic and
recursive video processing, instinctual trauma response processing,
art therapy graphic narrative, and additional video dialogue
to diminish dissociation
Command
Hallucinations
This program is for rapid relief of auditory hallucinations
that urge one to commit suicide, homicide, or other harmful
actions. Command hallucinations occur with psychotic disorders
and dissociative conditions. The individual often experiences
an automatic obedience to voices. The goal of the treatment
program is to eliminate the automatic obedience and promote
negotiation with the voices

Body
Dysmorphic Disorder
The fixed belief that one is ugly or flawed in appearance
is often due to past trauma. This program provides a treatment
for the presumptive traumatic etiology along with medication
for direct symptom relief

trauma response processing, art therapy graphic narrative,
and extensive video dialogue
