Elite Mental Toughness® Training
High-stress professions place sustained cognitive and emotional demands on personnel. Without effective resilience skills, individuals may experience reduced decision clarity, emotional fatigue, and relationship strain.
Elite Mental Toughness® (EMT) is a structured resilience training program designed to strengthen psychological flexibility and mental performance in high-stress operational environments.
EMT is an evidence-informed resilience training developed by Dr. Yvette Curtis, PsyD, LPC, MAC, designed for individuals and teams operating under sustained psychological and operational pressure. Originally developed through doctoral research and expert consultation with senior military leaders, EMT equips participants with practical skills to strengthen mental resilience, emotional regulation, decision-making under stress, and psychological flexibility. Training is delivered directly by Dr. Curtis through in-person or virtual programs nationwide and internationally.

Research findings demonstrated statistically significant improvements in key resilience measures, with outcome differences of 87.5% compared to 64% in comparison conditions.

Training Formats
Elite Mental Toughness® can be delivered in several formats depending on organizational needs.
Accelerated Intensive Training
9 hours of training delivered across 2 consecutive days
Distributed Training
9 hours delivered across two weeks or four weeks
Example models include:
• 4 hours per day across two days
• 4 hours per week across two weeks
• 2 hours per week across four weeks
This flexibility allows organizations to integrate the training into operational schedules.
